Desktop Writer
The Desktop Writer is a simple program that will write
text directly on the Desktop. You can choose text color,
background color, font face and size.
Desktop Writer could be used to leave a note on your
computer screen. It might also be fun for children -
a way to practice spelling, learn about fonts and
play with colors.
There is also a VBScript included that can be used to
leave a message next time the computer is started.
Desktop Writer is freeware.

Requirements
Windows 95 or later. (The current version of Desktop Writer supports Windows Vista/7/8/10.
Notes
• The optional scripts do not work on newer Windows versions when running with
typical "user" restrictions. You will get a "permission denied" error message.
• Options to use a transparent background, or the Desktop color
as background color, do not work properly on some newer Windows versions with "special effects" in effect. It should work fine with classic desktop view.
